Inactivity kick. How long is too long?

Post by 50percentelf on Thu Oct 25, 2012 10:06 pm

What is an appropriate amount of time to kick someone from the team? Suggestions are certainly welcome but it is my understanding that wolfram feels it should be 12 or 14 days at this point. Naturally I understand seeing how everyone is still struggling for the top. These are competitive times my friends. We must take action against those of us not trying to help. So what do you deem appropriate? Maybe some day the activity limit can be exteneded. But right now we must try as hard as we can to keep a strong and steady pace! *pounds fist*

I know there are alot of factors that would knock me out when I wouldnt want to. I work in games, and sometimes I am required to work 9am - 11pm. So I wouldnt have time to play too much. If that happened to me for 2-3 months, I wouldnt want to be kicked. Right now is a tough time for Tekken, its just not as awesome as SF/MVC3 to Americans. Not to mention anything bad can happen, loss of internet, broken system, have to wait a month to pay for a live subscription, etc. In all of those cases, the person might not want to be kicked. Inactivity im sure is bad, but the fear of being dropped may promote people to just look for places they dont have to fear as much based on certain circumstances. My 2cents.

I dont believe we have dragged this forum over yet but the requirements listed on the other forums state that you can be active by posting here and stuff. Communication is a huge part of being active. So don't fear if you want to stay you shall be able to stay.

As long as you let us know and stay active on this site, you'd be fine even if you were unable to play for a month or two. It's really a case by case basis. 12-14 days means 12-14 days with absolutely no activity. As in we don't hear from you via any means, no notification to your absence, no recent matches etc. As long as you're keeping up here and posting like you are now, you'll be fine. I really want to bring our forum to life. That's why I want to get 40 members as fast as possible, more if it will let me.
